Licensing

Let travelers know whose side you're on.

License the Jetiquette® name and the Travel Kindly mark, and put a recognized standard of behavior behind your product, your cabin, or your campaign. Travelers are already talking about who is on their side. This is how an airline, an airport, an agency, or a brand joins that conversation, on the record.

What can be licensed

Four things, separately or together.

Jetiquette Travel Kindly Partner

The mark

Travel Kindly Partner, on packaging, in the cabin, in the app, on the booking confirmation. A public sign that a recognized standard of behavior stands behind the product.

The Guide

Etiquette content by stage, for seatback screens, in-app tips, hotel welcome cards, and loyalty emails. Written, kept current, and attributed to Jetiquette®.

The program

Jetiquette in the cabin and the terminal: boarding and in-flight announcements, safety-video and seatback segments, gate signage, and the campaign that carries them into marketing. Developed with Jetiquette, in your voice, and carried under the Travel Kindly mark.

The training

"Jetiquette: The Customer Experience and You," the Magellan Award-winning program for frontline teams, delivered by Gailen David or licensed for internal use.

Public-facing programs

Say it where the behavior happens.

The best moment to ask for courtesy is just before it is needed: at the gate, at the boarding door, and as the plane begins its descent. Jetiquette works with carriers, airports, agencies, and the companies that move people through them to develop the announcements, the on-screen segments, the signage, and the campaign around them. In your voice, on your channels, with a standard your customers already recognize.

A program can be as small as a rewritten pre-landing announcement or as large as a season-long campaign across a whole airport, with the mark on every sign and a hashtag under it. The airports that already know how to talk to travelers online will recognize the shape of it: rules people want to photograph, a place to submit their own, and a feed that never runs short of material.

Announcements Boarding, pre-landing, and deplaning scripts written to be heard, each with a rule and its reason in a single sentence.
In-flight programming Seatback and safety-video segments, a Guide channel, and a weekly Ask Jetiquette for the entertainment system.
Terminal and checkpoint A series of Jetiquette signs through the concourse, one rule each, placed where the behavior happens: the security queue, the moving walkway, the gate, the carousel. Travelers photograph them, argue with them, and send in their own; the best become next season's signs, with the airport's name on the credit.
Campaigns Marketing and public-service campaigns under the Travel Kindly mark, for a carrier, an airport, or an agency with civility on its agenda. Built to be shared: the sign is the post, and the traveler is the one who posts it.
The Travel Kindly Commitments

7 things a partner signs.

A Travel Kindly Partner believes a journey should leave the traveler better than it found them, and that the stress of getting somewhere belongs to the company, not the customer. An airline, a hotel, an airport, a rental counter, a booking site, a public agency: each signs the same seven, in its own voice, because the partner is the one making the promise. They are published here so travelers can read them and hold the partner to them. The mark is earned by signing and kept by honoring; Jetiquette may withdraw it from a partner who does not.

Signed by an officer of the partner and by Jetiquette, for an annual term, renewable.

  1. 01

    We think ahead for you.

Before you have to ask, we tell you what happens next: where to go, how long it takes, what you will need in hand, and what your purchase includes and does not, written where it is sold in words anyone understands. A first-time traveler should never have to guess. A seasoned one should never be surprised.

  2. 02

    We ask once.

What you have told us, we remember. No repeating your name to a third person, no re-entering a booking, no hunting for a number we already hold. Wherever you reach us, on a screen or across a counter, we already know who you are and which trip you mean.

  3. 03

When we fail you, we fix it before you ask.

A delay, a lost bag, a room that is not ready, a mistake of ours: we tell you first, we set it right, and whatever you are owed arrives without a claim form. One person owns the problem until it is solved, and you know their name.

  4. 04

A person answers, on a clock we publish.

The way to tell us what happened is one step from wherever you are, and it already knows your trip. A person replies, not a ticket number, within a time we print for anyone to see. When we miss it, we say so, to you.

  5. 05

We never stop looking for the stress.

Finding it is a standing job, not an annual exercise. Every week someone from our own company travels a part of our experience the way a first-time traveler does, from the moment they find us to the moment they leave. Where a step makes people anxious, or short with the people around them, we remove it, and we publish what we changed as we change it.

  6. 06

We treat our people the way we ask them to treat you.

The people who serve travelers are trained, trusted, and backed when they ask for courtesy. A respected, unhurried employee is the quietest route to a calmer traveler, and we know it.

  7. 07

    Every improvement reaches everyone.

We measure each change by the traveler who bought the simplest option and stood at the end of the line. If it reaches them, it counts. If it does not, we are not finished.

How it works

Commitment, not inspection.

Jetiquette® is not an auditor and does not pretend to be one. Partners earn the mark by signing public commitments and keep it by honoring them.

  1. 01 Inquire

Tell us what you make, or whom you serve, and where the mark, the content, or the program would appear. There is no fee to ask.

  2. 02 Commit

Sign the Travel Kindly commitments. They are published here, so your customers can read what you signed.

  3. 03 Launch
