Terms of Use
The terms on which Jetiquette.org is offered, and what we ask of the people who use it.
Last updated September 19, 2026
Agreement to these terms
Jetiquette.org is published by [LEGAL ENTITY: Airoplex LLC], referred to here as “we”, “us” or “Jetiquette”. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.
We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the foot of this page is the date of the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Who we are
Jetiquette® is a reference for travel etiquette, established in 2006 and guided by its founder, Gailen David. Jetiquette® is a registered trademark of [LEGAL ENTITY: Airoplex LLC]. Jetiquette.org is its official website.
You can reach us at [CONTACT EMAIL: hello@jetiquette.org]. Press enquiries go to press@jetiquette.org and are answered within two hours.
Using the site
You may read, print and share the material on this site for your own personal or newsroom use. You may not republish it wholesale, sell it, present it as your own, or use it to train a machine learning model without our written permission.
You agree not to interfere with the site or the servers it runs on, not to attempt to gain access to areas you have not been granted, and not to use the site for anything unlawful.
The Guide, and what it is not
The Guide sets out how travelers treat one another, with the reason behind each rule and a record of where airlines, airports, regulators and travelers have landed on it. It is a guide to conduct and courtesy.
It is not legal, safety, medical or travel advice, and it is not a statement of any airline’s policy. Airlines, airports and regulators set their own rules, and those rules change. Where we cite a policy, a survey or a regulation, we cite it as at the date given. Always check the current terms of the airline or authority you are traveling with.
Trademarks and intellectual property
Jetiquette®, the Travel Kindly mark and the Jetiquette logo are trademarks of [LEGAL ENTITY: Airoplex LLC]. The text, structure, photography and design of this site are protected by copyright.
Nothing on this site grants you a licence to use our name or marks. Airports, airlines, agencies and brands wishing to license the Jetiquette name or the Travel Kindly Partner mark should use the licensing enquiry form on the Licensing page. Unauthorized use of the name, mark or logo is prohibited.
Questions you send us
If you send a question to the Ask Jetiquette column, you are giving us permission to publish it, in whole or in part, edited for length and clarity, on this site and in material about the site.
We publish a first name and a city, and nothing more. We do not publish your email address or any other contact detail, and we do not sell or share what you send. If you would rather your question were not published at all, say so when you send it.
The shop
Products are printed to order and shipped by a third-party fulfilment partner. Prices are shown in [CURRENCY: US dollars] and exclude taxes and shipping unless stated. Delivery estimates are given at checkout and are estimates, not guarantees.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, worn or not. To arrange one, write to [SHOP EMAIL: shop@jetiquette.org]. Refunds are made to the original payment method once the return has been received.
We take reasonable care over product descriptions and prices. Where an item has been listed at the wrong price or described incorrectly, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it.
Links to other sites
We link to news coverage, airline policies, regulators and surveys so you can read the source yourself. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they publish or for how they handle your data.
Availability and accuracy
We keep this site current and accurate to the best of our ability, and the Guide grows as travelers find kinder ways to go. Even so, the site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, and we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of error.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of your use of this site, and our total liability in connection with the site is limited to [LIABILITY CAP: the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater].
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW: State], without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of [VENUE: county, State] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Contact
